Cave of Riddles

WELCOME to Larky’s part of Laokia’s Birthday Bash! Being a dragon, I do like riddles, puzzles, and all that jazz—I also like throwing awesome things at you! So, combining these two things, I have come up with something that will make your brain want to kick itself while having fun at the same time. Sound good? Good.

Things to Know
+ Generally, the harder the task, the better the prize.
+ They’ll be organized in three categories: Easy, Medium, and Hard. You can enter as many as you like, but you can only win two.
+ The point is NOT to succeed. It is to be pushed to failure. In other words, many of these will be obscenely difficult! Even the easy things will be sort of hard! THIS IS THE TEST OF YOUR INGENUITY. *shot*
+ Larky will be judging the entries at the end of the event, and the best ones will win! Then if you all survive the chaos there might be a consolation prize.
+ Don’t look for loopholes. >.>
+ Some questions don’t have answers obvious answers. Therefore, the most creative wins! XD

[whisper=shadowlark] The two objects meet and do not like each other in the least, and so have a fine little contest slinging the most creative insults they can think of, ('You insolent little toerag!' 'Would thou wert clean enough to spit upon!') but soon get bored, at which point they try to destroy each other and realize there is no destroying to be had. Finally, the unstoppable object just gives up on life and goes around the other object, cursing it and its children and its mother and its father and its dog and the wee little goldfish it had when it was but a little speck of dust as it leaves. I suspect the reason they didn't like ech other was because they'd both gotten all uppity about defying the laws of physics and didn't like the fact that there was someone else stealing their 'thing'. [/whisper]

[whisper=shadowlark] The owls are oppressing us. They demand a sacrifice every day, now. The strain is too much... we can't hold on. We'll all die if they don't stop taking so many of us... Perhaps that's what they want. But there are... rumors. People say that the rabbits and the frogs are sympathetic to us. They say there's a way out of the Feather Hills. And if there is, I have to try. I have to get my family out. I know a few frogs that don't report to the owls. I'll ask them.

(Basically? It's the squirrel underground railroad. I... I don't even know. And yes, this is an idea I've had for a while. Might turn it into a really weird kid's book someday. [whisper=shadowlark] ...Ahaha, I've actually looked up this question before, believe it or not. And the weird thing is, it'd actually be as if nothing out of the ordinary were happening. You'd still see the light from yourt headlights just the same as if you were sitting still and had your headlights on. Don't ask me for the science babble that actually explains why, though. This is the only thing I remember about the answer. Look it up yourself, if you're curious! [/whisper]

What happens if you are in a car going the speed of light and you turn the headlights on?

[whisper=]depends on if you use the theory of relative speed, for instance if you jump on a train, you stay where you are in retrospect to the train, so if you turn on light while traveling at the speed of light, the light you turned on is travelling at the speed of light in relative to you but to others watching, it will go faster then the speed of light.[/whisper]

[whisper=]depends if it was rounded up or down, meaning it could be anywhere between -0.49 recurring or 0.49 recurring otherwise it would not be rounded to 0. meaning tomorrow could be anything from -0.98 recurring and 0.98 recurring.[/whisper]

[whisper=shadowlark]They were an illusion created by the stranded alien craft parked on the roof that gave the illusion of a two-story house. The stairs themselves appear to be made of oak but are, in fact, not real.[/whisper]

[whisper=shadowlark]For the story...
A girl starts to notice a shadowy figure in the woods. This thing seems to follow her wherever she goes. Eventually, she comes face to face with it, and discovers that it is another girl who looks exactly like her. After realising that the other girl cannot speak, she follows her doppleganger into the woods, and is lead to a group of Faeries. She then discovers that she is in fact a Changling, and was switched with the real, human version of herself at birth. (Ta-da!)
As for characters....
"Tex" is a 203cm tall guy who looks to be about 28 years old. He's an ex-smoker, and now eats "Fads" (Basically mini-musk sticks without the grooves if you don't know what Fads are), holding them in his mouth as though they are cigarettes. He keeps a pen behind his ear, but constantly forgets it's there, and searches his pockets for it before realising. He wears jeans, a blue riding shirt, brown leather boots and belt, and a brown akubra. He has a dog called "Rex" and rides a gelding horse called Rooster.[/whisper]

+ If the temperature this morning is 0 degrees and the Weather Channel says, "it will be twice as cold tomorrow", what will the temperature be?
[whisper=shadowlark]If you're following Maths logic, the weather tomorrow will be 0 degrees. If you're following my logic, there are several possibilities;
The sheltered temperature (without wind chill factored in) is not zero, and will be half as warm tomorrow, making it likely to be below zero with wind chill factored in.
The temperature will be impossible.
The temperature will be simply freezing.
The calculation was done incorrectly whilst attempting to figure this out. As a result, the rule was broken, and something was divided by zero. The universe exploded, and therefore, there will be no temperature tomorrow and thus no need to worry about it.[/whisper]
