About-
Tarquil, whose name is derived from Tarquin, have the appearance of a scaly quetzalcoatl. Their golden horns are rumored to have magical properties, and it is said that on nights of full moons, when the moon is high in the sky, they use them to sing. Of course, no one has ever heard the song and lived, so who knows if this is true or not (probably not). These pokemon are great in size but astonishingly light in weight, meaning that they can fly with great ease. They tend to be solitary, so trainers don't have to worry about encountering these in packs, for the most part.
Like western dragons in medieval folklore, they hoard treasure in the depths of their caves, and many of them like riddles. In the wild, they're reasonable.... If you get their riddles right, or you stump them with one of your own, they'll let you live, should you not have pokemon strong enough to fight them. The ones with the largest treasure hoards tend to be narcissist, greedy, and argumentative.... And the oldest Tarquil have seemingly fathomless knowledge. While most Tarquil are wise, melancholy at times, very few know as much as the ancient ones. Tarquil are great advice-givers should you befriend one.
On a final note, they can live for thousands of years, it seems; there is yet to be a discovery of one that has perished of old age alone. They also have a wingspan of about 15 feet when they have reached full size.
