It's back! =D Yup, the Laokia Secret Santa Bash! This might become a yearly thing. It IS fun to do~ Giving is fun, getting is fun, and wrapping is fun! Whoot!!! Now then, in case you weren't here last year, or you forgot, Imma go over a few things before we begin.
This event is based around SECRET Santas. The senders of the gifts will be anonymous; don't tell anyone that you're giving them stuff. Gifts will be delivered and, if desired, wrapped through the Delibird accounts on Laokia. Currently there are three of these, N- Neko, D- Dra, & A- Ash.
Keep in mind that this is NOT a giveaway; it is an event to celebrate the spirit of giving. You must give your own Pokemon, Eggs, Items, Etc. to people. You cannot make them appear out of thin air, you must actually own them to send them to people. And, obviously, you will be giving them away, so you won't have them yourself any longer.
However, gifts do NOT have to be just for the roleplay. You may make a picture, letter, sprite, etc. as long as you leave a note that it is not an item, Pokemon or anything else that can be used in the roleplay. This way, even newer members may scrape something up to give to others.
Keep in mind that the person operating the Delibird accounts can also receive gifts, Ashley, Dra, and Neko. Be sure to send any gifts meant for them to one of the other Delibird accounts for them to deliver. Otherwise it won't be anonymous! (Even if the spriter of the wrapping pallete is the receiver of a gift, when you send it to one of the Delibirds, they will tell the creator of the pallete to make the requested wrapping, and won't exactly know who gave them a gift in their own pallete. So don't worry to much on that.)
Now then, onto explaining the whole 'wrapping' thing. You can opt to have Pokemon (even those who haven't hatched from their eggs) be gift-wrapped in one of our Christmas Pallettes! These aren't special in any other way than their coloration, basically being 'dyed' like you can purchase in user shops. These wrappings can be removed, and the Pokemon return to looking how it normally would if desired.
Note: Ashley and I each have our versions of the same idea. They are not the same palletes. We may add or remove palletes as we deem necessary.
Note2: Though Special Status Pokemon CAN be gift-wrapped... the results will be different, and not all palletes can be used on them (in order to keep the status clear.)
Instructions/Rules:
- Send a PM to one of the Delibirds with the Pokemon/Egg/Item/Etc you want to send, to whom you want to send it, and the stats for it, if it has any (this includes hatch dates, in the case of eggs).
- It would help if you gave us the USERNAME for the person you are sending the gift to, rather than just their display name (unless these are the same).
- You may group gifts together in one PM, just make it clear what goes to whom and all.
- State clearly if you want something giftwrapped, what wrapping you want it in, and the spriter of that wrapping (if the spriter is not the Delibird that you are sending the gift through).
- You can no longer send anything after January 1st. If possible, try not to send everything at the last minute; it really puts strain on the Delibirds to wrap and give out the gifts. This event starts so early to give everyone time to breed or make gifts.
- Don't just send a hundred things to one person; try to give stuff to members who may not be as well known or who have not been around as long too.
- Don't reveal the Secret!!!
- Please don't kill us spriters with a massive attack of wrappings! =O We have lives too. Anyway, if we feel that anyone is giving far too many wrapped Pokemon (this will likely only happen if you have us wrap, like, 50 something >.>) we will probably be forced to impose limits so that we can finish on before NEXT year.
