About
Barkque are most often found in packs, and are better off in them. To those who cannot understand pokespeech, their voices come in a variety of yips, barks, growls, and howls that can sometimes be pieced together to sound like their name.
If trained from a young age or from the egg, barkque are very loyal to whomever raised them. They make fearsome warriors if trained correctly, and can turn into vicious killers- straying very close to the actions of a feral demon- when they are abused. You can easily make a rough summary of their past by looking at their personality- it makes it quite clear what path the barkque was led down.
Their paws appear as roots when they are not walking, running, etc. Truthfully, they are acting as their close plant relative- trees. They are absorbing nutrients from the soil which can act as a sort of self-healing process at times. When moving, barkque obtain paws like that of their close animal relative, the wolf.
Barkque are the result of an inbreeding between an offspring of a long like of wolves and a mysterious wood-nymph esque wolf. Of course, the wood nymph wolves havn't been rediscovered to this day; and have only truly been seen once by one person, who dissappeared by mysterious means the next time he walked in that forest. He dubbed the creatures Nymphylla- the forgotten species. A mysterious black and silver Nymphylla had been glimpsed a few times by some others walking in that very forest- though they shrugged it away and told themselves it was just a Canivy.
Pokedex Entry
Barkque tend to stick in packs, ususally consisting of 3 to 4 members at least. The largest reported group had at least 24 barkque. They are territorial and are usually docile and timid, though they will show agression if threatened.
