About
Most likely, Diviya descended from an isolated group of Persian that, for whatever reason, were forced to adapt to a wetland environment. Their coloration changed to allow Diviya to be able to blend in with rocks along and in rivers and petrified trees of swamps and marshes. They are larger than their Persian relatives and are in possession of sharper claws and keener vision for tracking and catching fish in the water.
Diviya generally live in matriarchal colonies of up to twenty or thirty individuals. The majority of the population will be males because they gather together to protect the kittens and subordinate females along with the most important alpha female. The alpha is the biggest, strongest and smartest of the females in the colony.
Offspring are born in litters that range in number from two to six. At a three-weeks old, the kittens will already be splashing around in shallow water under the watchful eyes of several adult females. Female Diviya generally dig burrow-like structures near the water, but just high enough to avoid flooding.
Females are more territorial than males, especially if they happen to have a litter, but they will generally hurry their offspring back into the safety of their burrow if humans are around. The males will observe humans silently, but will not hesitate in attacking any intruders if they, unwittingly or otherwise, approach a burrow.
Personality-wise, Diviya that are raised by people from a young age are far more docile than ones that are caught in the wild. Especially wild female Diviya tend to be strong-willed and easy to anger if they don't like their trainer a whole lot.
