Money Rules
Since money is needed to buy things, and your characters can’t just rely on giveaways for their funds, characters need some way of earning money. Since not many mods have been rewarding characters with money for things such as defeating trainers in battle, there will now be rules dictating when and how much money to give out. There are seven main ways that a character can get money, and all of them will be listed and described below.
Payday:
At the beginning of EVERY OTHER MONTH there is a pay day, in which the money a member has accumulated on his/her account can be given to their characters. You may choose to split the money among your characters however you please, but you cannot give them more money than you have. The amount of money you have increases by $5 for every post made in boards where posts count; This is not a reason to randomly spam, as if you are caught there will be penalties. To receive your money on Payday, you MUST post in the PAYDAY BOARD your total accumulated money, the amount you gave to each character, the total that each character has after receiving the money, and if you want any money to be left in your account. I will check to make sure everything is correct, and then I will subtract the money from your account.
Trainer/Grim Battle:
If your character defeats another trainer or a Grim member, they will receive money. The trainers will usually just hand over the money, but the Grim members happen to somehow drop the money when defeated. The amount of money depends on many variables, but generally is between $100 and $1,500.
Helping Others:
When helping a Pokemon or person, a character might just be rewarded with some money and/or items. The amount of money for helping others really has no limit, it is just based on how difficult the job was and how much money the human/Pokemon happens to have. Generally between $100 and $1,000.
Gym Leader Battle/Contest Victory/Successful Ranger Mission/Successful Rescue Mission/Passing Final:
This will earn your character the most money, as it is directly related to their career, so I suppose you can say it is their salary. Generally ranges from $3,000-$5,000.
Giveaways:
Yes, every so often there are giveaways that let your character(s) get more money. These have no set range; though do not give away too great amounts of money without asking me. As a rule of thumb, ask me if you are planning on giving out more that $1,000 to each character.
Selling Items:
Characters can get more money by selling valuable items they might have accumulated in their journeys. The price depends on the item.
Member-Owned Shops:
You or one of your characters can own a shop and take in revenue there. The money you accumulate can be saved to buy more things for your business, or can be distributed to your characters like with the pay day. Amount that can be earned in this way is not currently limited.
