Anoosta Region

Welcome to Anoosta! A region set back in a tropical island with unexpected twists and turns! Create your character with our easy bio form, then venture to the lowlands to get your beginner pokemon. After that travel the low seas, or high snowy mountain tops. Danger awaits you at every turn, but strength reigns as a whole.

History

It started as a small island, a place where only few foliage could be seen. But when the volcano erupted things took a turn for the better. Approximately one million years ago Mount Zerag exploded in a fiery ball of flames and lava. Ash covered the land and the sky stayed dark for years. However, because of the explosion new land was created, and with the new land new places for life. A bridge into the ocean was created and with that new things started arriving. Pokemon and with them Humans.

But there wasn't just the normal pokemon everyone was used to seeing, there were new types of pokemon. New water, grass, fire, etc. Every type you could name. But they are hard to find, so hard in fact that most seem to think they don't even exist. Legendary's have been spotted flying over head or slinking through the forests. The first few to move to the island was a brother and sister pair, Kayle and Cantal Braknar. They founded the first Lab in the new island. And with that the Anoosta Region was born, and in secrecy darkness lurks, waiting to nab yet another unsuspecting trainer.

Plot

The region is young, so young not every species has been identified. More and more seem to be found each month. But the strange thing is the normal pokemon, they seem....different. Some are normal, average, unchanged. But others? Others bare darker coloring, lighter coloring, or are even hot to the touch. Under closer inspection researchers have realized that the 'hotter than normal pokemon' were diseased. But not by any normal disease, a man made disease.

Soon after the first diseased pokemon was found a letter was sent to the gym leader of every town, and every research center and lab:


Dear humans,

I see you have discovered my latest creation. The Diseased. Mean little buggers aren't they? Ahh of only you knew the cure, and if only you knew where to find me. Good luck saving your world.

And so terror swept the region, but researchers got straight to work. Not some three years later they found a cure, an expensive cure. But when they cured a diseased pokemon it did not go back to normal. It became dark. So they worked harder and found an even more expensive cure, with that they created the first light pokemon. A pokemon cured of all impurities.

But then the lab burned down and the documents disappeared. Just recently an old woman found them in her attic and they read as follows:

Normal : Average
Diseased : Weaker than normal pokemon
Dark : Barely stronger than normal pokemon
Light : Stronger than Dark pokemon

She then founded the Alustas, a group bent on healing diseased pokemon and destroying the Cargen. The battle begins.
