Part 1: ---------------------
Aeron walked along the trail he had seemed to find, walking in a straight line. He sighed, The excitement of starting his journey was making his jumpy, nervous, and well excited. He just wanted to get his first badge, he already had several battles under his belt so to speak. One with Holly, another with a Gible, and one more with that crazy Zigzagoon. He then got to thinking about the normal type, its coloring was different then a normal Zigzagoon's coloring and yet it was indeed one. He thought about letting it out of its pokeball and did so, watching as the Zigzagoon was unleashed from its pokeball.
The Zigzagoon looked up at Aeron and looked confused, <Who are you huh?> Aeron frowned a bit and spoke, "Well I'm Aeron your trainer and your my new Pokemon. You got a name?" The normal type shook his head, <Hold on, my trainer? What's that? Does that mean I'm pretty much your partner or something? And no I don't have a name.> The Zigzagon was getting mad, seeing as to how he had a bad temper, "Well yeah you're my partner let's put it that way. And your name is now Bandit, got it? Well let's keep going I'll tell you more as we walk." Bandit simply nodded and kept walking with Aeron as they spoke. -------------
A ringing sound soon emitted, seeming to come from Aeron's bag. The Cell Phone inside was ringing. Aeron was receiving a call.
The sun was shining brightly, signaling that it was probably going to be a nice day. -------------
Aeron heard the ringing and seemed to be lost in conversation with the Zigzagoon until it spoke to him <Your ringing Aeron, just thought I'd let ya know.> Aeron seemed surprised and opened up his bag, grabbing his phone and just flipping it open, "Hello?" The normal type kept up with Aeron, listening to him as he spoke and looked around sensing that maybe nearby there might be something. He brushed it off and lept walking along, the sun's light was bright and in a way it bothered him. -------------
Something was watching the pair. A Taillow sat in some nearby bushes, fixing Aeron and the Demon Zigzagoon with a curious stare. She had never seen a human before! This was the first time she had ever been out of her nest, and the sight of the trainer and the strange looking Zigzagoon confused her. Again, something was strange about the Taillow. It seemed to be an aqua blue color. And, were those gills?
Meanwhile, Professor Tarei's voice spoke on the other end of the phone. "Hello? Aeron? I heard that you encountered a Demon Pokemon.... Is it true? Did I ever tell you anything about them?" she asked, sounding a little worried. -------------
Aeron kept walking listening to the voice on the other end, it was the professor or so he guessed. In his brief visit to the lab the Professor had been absent and he hadn't gotten the chance to speak to her, "Yes I did, Professor Tarei right? Well I did happen to catch one, its I guess a Demon Zigzagoon? Are they dangerous should I be careful or something?"
As the trainer spoke the Zigzagoon scanned the area, the idea of being a partner with this boy was a bit odd for the Demon Pokemon but his own Pokemon were strong and that meant he'd grow strong too. Not only that though but he had a name and needed to get used to it, what was it again? Bandit? He shrugged and looked up, catching a glimpse of the Taillow and grinning to himself, on the edge of rushing at the tree and scaring the little Taillow. He looked up at the trainer and then noticed he was distracted then rushed at the tree and growled, <I see you up there!> His tone wasn't one that indicated an urge for battle but more so a malicious tone, wanting to just be mean. -------------
For having the Zigzagoon out, he has gained 5 trust points!
The Professor sighed on the other end, relief flooding through her. "Yes, this is Professor Tarei. I apologize for not having been present when you came to receive your first Pokemon. I am really glad that you are safe. See, demon Pokemon have had their DNA mutated. They have literally been turned mad, and unbelievably feral. It is as if they have no sense at all, that they don't think logically in the least. They will attack and kill anyone or anything, without any feeling of remorse," the professor explained quickly.
"But, if you caught it then you should be okay. They don't USUALLY attack their trainer or their trainer's Pokemon. And, even if they do, they are no longer contagious after having been caught in a pokeball. You should keep an eye on it though, as it may attack other Pokemon, without any warning at all," the Professor continued.
"Oh, one more thing, if you can work with them and get them to trust you, you can cure them. They will still retain their colors, but they will have the same personality that they had before being mutated," she finished. Professor Tarei hoped that she was being helpful, but she didn't want to get too long winded.
Meanwhile, the odd looking Taillow Squawked quietly, loud enough that only the demon Pokemon could hear. She shuffled back farther into the cover of the trees leaves, not willing to leave her spot at the moment. She wanted to watch the trainer who was talking on the strange device down below.
She was simply bemused by the Human, standing on his two legs and talking into what appeared to her to be a strange colored stick. She would have to try to find one of those sticks later, and she made a mental note to herself to search until she found one. -------------
Aeron nodded and furrowed his brow taking all the information into his head, "Thanks for the info Professor, it explains a lot, I really appreciate. So umm what if my demon Pokemon goes crazy on me? What then? Should I battle it with another one of my Pokemon and then release or what? And also how would min react with another one? Would they go crazy or something?"
Meanwhile the Demon Zigzagoon smirked to itself as the bird Pokemon hid, it walked away feeling triumphant and like a big tough guy. It looked up the trainer, thinking that maybe he wasn't so bad after all but he'd still need more convincing, for now he was fine with it. As the two stood there they were the normal type began to get bored as his trainer spoke into the weird contraption, he began to look around. Maybe there'd be a cool Pokemon around to battle. -------------
The Professor's smiled through the phone as Aeron continued to ask questions on how to keep himself and his Pokemon safe. "I doubt it will, but if the situation arises, you should just return the Pokemon to it's ball and allow it to cool down." The woman's natural motherly tone sounded kindly through the speakers on the phone.
"As for your other Pokemon, it will probably act aggressively toward them as it did to you at first, so try and feed him separately then your other Pokemon. I'm not sure how it will react to the other Pokemon. Hopefully in time he will grow to find comfort in their company." Tarei advised, basing her opinion on her own research.
After a small silence, Professor started up again, worry coating her words. "Now I think it's great that you captured a demon Pokemon Aeron.. But I want you to be careful. The last thing I want for you is to get hurt. Demon Pokemon are dangerous and are not to be tampered with."
As the Professor was giving Aeron a quick lecture on safety, the strange Tailow was shuffling back and forth on the branch, watching the two-legged creature babble about to no one in clear sight.
What a foolish boy. Talking to himself. How silly. Nodding her head, her gaze shifted from the human to the strange hued zigzagoon. She felt shivers run down her spine. Those menacing eyes.. The creature was rather intimidating. She wondered why it looked so mad. -------------
Aeron was simply nodding and listening to every word that seemed to slip out of the professor's mouth, she was after all, a professor. She had to know what she was talking about and as a result he would put ever piece of advice into use, Thanks Professor I appreciate the help, if I have anymore problems I guess I'll call you huh? If the demon Pokemon does cause me any problems be expecting a call, I think I'd have to give him to someone who can handle him a bit better than me. But otherwise I'll try to treat him as one of my other Pokemon."
Meanwhile the Zigzagoon was off doing its own thing, it was meddling with flowers, bushes, and even scratching tree. His trainer sure seemed to be busy or doing something important for them to take this long in one spot. They had stopped moving and Bandit was the impatient type, also a bit of an active little guy. He kept looking up at the odd Taillow, he couldn't see it anymore and it grinned evilly, he showed that scrawny little thing.
"So I'll talk to you later Professor, thanks for the advice but I'm off for my first gym badge. Which reminds me, are demon Pokemon not allowed n gym battles or are they legal in those?" It was a smart question that just popped into his head, he wouldn't want to be disqualified from his first gym battle for using an illegal Pokemon or something right? While he waited for a response Aeron looked around and waved the Zigzagoon over, he had noticed how it was beginning to wander off. And surprisingly enough the Zigzagoon came over and took a seat though its face clearly showed displeasure in having to wait. But Aeron knew it would have to get used to it. -------------
Again the professor smiled, though Aeron could not have hoped to see it. "They can be used in gym battles just like other Pokemon, but when having Demon Pokemon battle, be even more careful. The blood lust they have can grow during a battle, causing them to go into a wild frenzy. The only way to stop them is to recall them to their ball. Otherwise, it will just ignore you and keep attacking until the opponent is dead, and then it may even turn on you in its rage. So, it may be a good idea to not use one in battle until it's trust is up some," she said."
"On that note, be careful traveling around. Lately, there have been reports of the air suddenly growing cold and darkness surrounding trainers and their Pokemon. The sudden change in atmosphere seems to have some adverse effect on the Pokemon, like it drives them mad or something. Their eyes begin to glow and eerie red and they will attack their trainers without warning. I suspect that the occurrences are related to the grim in some way, though I have not yet figured out how..."
"Well, I have to go now, unless you have any more questions?" the professor finally finished.
The Taillow remained hidden by the leaves, staring curiously at the trainer. She was tactfully avoiding looking at the Zigzagoon, the mere sight of which brought her cold chills. It looked as if the boy was nearly done talking. Talking to no one, talking to a stick. How very strange. She shook her head, finally deciding that it was too confusing to worry about. The bird Pokemon moved a little bit closer to Aeron, leaving her cover in doing so. She was determined not to look at the Zigzagoon. He would not be able to reach her while she sat in the tree anyway. Or would he? -------------
"Okay I gotcha, I'm sure I won't have too many problem's with this little guy but thanks for the insight Professor. As for the weird mist that engulfs trainers and theirpokemon I'll stay sharp and keep an eye out for it. I don't have any further questions Professor so I'll let you get back to your things now. Seeya!" The boy hung up the phone, he then remembered that he had no idea what the Grim was, oh well he'd live he hoped. Turning back to the Zigzagoon he smiled, "Ready to go?"
The Pokemon nodded but noticed the odd Pokemon again, and this time he went at it, though he couldn't reach it. This time Aeron looked and saw the odd Pokemon in the tree, "What the world..." He then wanted to catch it but knew it was out of reach, "Come down here you!" He pointed at the Taillow -------------
The Taillow jumped in shock as the Zigzagoon lunged, even though she was pretty confident that the Demon Pokemon could not reach her. Then when the boy spoke she was even more shocked. <Sure, but call off that thing! Or, at least keep it away from me!> she said nervously.
The flying type then flew off of the branch and circled above Aeron's head. She kept a wary eye on the oddly colored Pokemon, and waited for the Trainer to calm the Pokemon. She wasn't about to land where she wouldn't be safe after all. -------------
Aeron smiled as his Demon Pokemon was going nuts jumping and lunging at the little bird Pokemon, "Sure thing little guy." With that he grabbed his pokeball and pointed it at bandit who looked at him, "What are you doing?" Aeron simply smiled at his Zigzagoon, "Don't worry bandit you've been good just take a break is all, return." With that the Demon Pokemon was enveloped by a red light and taken into the pokeball in which he was captured.
Now with the Zigzagoon gone maybe he could try and learn something about this Pokemon, "Its safe now, but what are you? He pulled out his Pokedex yet it told him what he was suspecting. It was a Taillow but why was it the odd color and appearance? He looked at it closely as it flew around his head, "Why are you blue? I mean you're not the traditional Taillow colors you know. Did something happen to you or something?" His Navy eyes following the Taillow wherever it went. -------------
The Taillow kept watching the Zigzagoon apprehensively, wondering what the trainer would do. Her relief was great when the demon Pokemon was recalled to his pokeball, a sigh escaping her beak. As soon as the red light dispersed, the odd looking Taillow landed softly on the ground in front of Aeron.
<I'm a Taillow,> the bird Pokemon asked, not understanding what the trainer meant. Then, at Aeron's next words, the Pokemon realized why he was confused. <Oh! Well, I was born this way... Sadly, most of the other Tallow are afraid of me; only my parents can stand to be near me,> she said, sadness seeping into her voice.
The Taillow looked at the ground for a few seconds, then returned her gaze to the navy blue one of Aeron. <That's not the strangest thing though! For some reason, I can swim under water just as I can fly in the sky! And I can breath too!> the strange Pokemon said, cheering up at the thought. -------------
Aeron listened to the Pokemon intently, surprised at the information it was giving him. So the little thing was born the odd blue color and was rejected by most of the other Taillowin the area. That was intriguing in itself but what the bird Pokemon said next was what caught his attention the most out of everything.
<That's not the strangest thing though! For some reason, I can swim under water just as I can fly in the sky! And I can breath too!>
A Flying-type Pokemon that can even breath and swim underwater?! That was amazing, he'd call the professor once he got done with this thing, "So you're not only a Flying type but a Water-type too huh? Wow you're an amazing Pokemon then. You know you should join a team that would really appreciate your talents, I'd take you onto my Pokemon team if you'd let me. You'd be a huge asset you know." The trainer looked at the Taillow hopeful that maybe it would join him, he didn't want to battle it and risk losing it. -------------
The Taillow looked at the Trainer curiously for a second, as if she had never really thought about what her type would be before. <Well, yeah, I suppose so! It makes sense, doesn't it?> she said after a moment.
Then the bird Pokemon took in the rest of what Aeron said, cocking her head to the side as if she was thinking. <Hmm... I wouldn't mind going with you, because it does sound like fun, but I can't just leave without saying goodbye to my parents. How about you come with me an we go tell them?> the Taillow asked hopefully.
The bird-Pokemon had no doubt that her parents would allow her to go on an adventure, but she wanted them to get a chance to meet the strange boy with his talking stick. Also, she COULD NOT leave home without saying farewell to the only other Pokemon that had treated her like she belonged. -------------
Aeron smiled at the Pokemon, he liked this Taillow already it seemed easygoing and fun to be around. He listened to the Taillow's words and nodded, "Sure I'll go with you to see your parents. I mean they are the ones who raised you so why not say goodbye to them! Lead the way."
Aeron would tag along behind the Taillow as it took him to the location of its home. He was excited about getting the opportunity to have a Water and Flying type to his arsenal. Sure it wasn't just a tool, it needed to be with people who would appreciate it despite its odd nature. Its parents were the only other ones that treated it right so why not come with him? He'd make sure to make it feel welcomed and his Pokemon would get along with it. Well most but he worried how Bandit would react with any of his Pokemon. Especially Yamchi since they had fought earlier. Oh well he'd figure out eventually. -------------
A smile appeared on the bird-Pokemon's beak at Aeron's words. The Taillow found that she liked this trainer, even if she thought him a bit odd. Who talks to a stick? Still, she surmised that there must be a reason for it, and even if not she could care less.
<My parents have a nest farther in Route One, and its sort of a long walk. It only takes about ten to twenty minutes to fly the distance, but walking is WAY slower. It'll probably take nearly two hours to get there,> the gilled Taillow said. She started to feel a little guilty, but stopped when she realized that the trainer likely had to go that way anyway.
She took to the sky once more, her bright blue wings glittering in the sunlight. The flying-type was careful not to fly too far ahead of Aeron, always being sure that he could see her. After about twenty minutes the bird Pokemon had to stop and rest in a tree, her wings not used to the effort of flying. After all, she had just flown for the first time that day. Though she had fallen out of her nest when she was young and splashed into a pond, thus ending up 'flying' under the surface, she had never actually taken to the more difficult air. -------------
Aeron listened to the Pokemon, his navy orbs scanning the bright blue Taillow's body. He liked its coloring, it made the critter unique and one of a kind. As the Taillow explained the trip to see its parents Aeron just nodded, he was heading in that general direction anyways, "Sure thing, don't worry about the trip there, I've been traveling for a day now so its all part of my adventure. Let's get going!"
As the Taillow took to the sky Aeron figured he'd let out one of his other Pokemon to let it stretch and such. Why not let out his Gible? So he reached for his belt and tossed the corresponding Pokeball, a red beam letting out Jaws. The Land Shark looked around confused but saw Aeron, <Hey I remember you! Whatcha need? Are we battling! I sure hope so!> Aeron laughed but kept walking keeping the Taillow in his sights.
"No, sorry jaws but we're following that Taillow up there to see its parents. Then he'll be coming with us on our journey." The Gible nodded and walked next to his Trainer, looking up at the Flying-type, <Why does it look like that? At the Safari there were Taillow but not that color, is it sick?> Aeron shook his head and then looked up at the Taillow who was resting, "Here, it'll tell you. Hey Taillow wanna rest on my shoulder? That way you can rest but we can still keep walking. You'll just give us directions, by the way this is Jaws my Gible. He's nice not aggressive like the Zigzagoon you saw earlier." -------------
The Taillow watched Aeron catch up to her position, curiously looking at the Gible. Living in Route One all of her life, she had never seen a Pokemon quite like it before. She heard the dragon-type's words, inwardly smiling. She didn't mind explaining once more.
Aeron's offer caught the Taillow completely by surprise. It was a nice gesture, and she had never ridden on anyone's shoulder before. <Really? Sure!> she said, flying off the branch and gently perching on Aerons proffered shoulder. <And hello Jaws! Yeah, you don't give me the weird shivers like that Zigzagoon did, ha ha. I'll tell you why I look like, but could you tell me what the 'Safari Zone' is? I've never even heard of it,> the odd colored Taillow said.
The flying-type then explained to the Gible how she had been born with the gills and the strange coloring, and how she could breath and 'fly' through the water. She paused during the explanation to tell Aeron the correct direction, then continued talking till she had finished. Once she was done, she began to groom her feathers a little, keeping a curious eye on the Gible and the other on the path ahead.

Part 2: ----------------------------
Unknown to Aeron and the Taillow (And whatever Pokemon that was over there, as Cath could barely see it.), they were being watched. About thirty feet away, Cath was hidden behind a tree, donned in blue jeans and a green tank top, watching there every move. Takala was on her shoulder, her eyes trained on the Taillow.
Cath looked to Takala, a smirk playing on her lips. "Let's go." Cath moved into view and smiled serenely, eying her surroundings. She picked Takala off her shoulder and held the Pokemon in her arms, petting the Eevee affectionately.
Looking a head, she judged her self to be about twenty-five feet away from Aeron. She smirked and whispered into Takala's ear. The Eevee's ear perked up, and she smiled. Jumping from her trainer's arms, Takala dashed away from her, toward Aeron and the Taillow.
"Takala!" Cath gasped, her eyes wide in shock. She dashed after the shiny Eevee, calling her name repeatedly. "Takala, stop!"
But the Eevee continued on, not stopping until she was forced to, right into the back of Aeron's legs. -------------
Aeron smiled as the Taillow flew onto his shoulder and added his comment about the Zigzagoon. As the Taillow asked its question about the Safari Zone the Gible simply smiled.
<Well its a place where a bunch of different Pokemon can be found, from you're kind to my kind there's lots. And on occasions a trainer like Aeron might come by and catch one. Its not that bad a place really, its actually quite nice there.>
As the Taillow spoke about the way it was born and such the Gible listened intently, nodding its head as it took in the information. Aeron was also distracted walking along to the directions given by the bird Pokemon. But soon his navy eyes were caught by a small Eevee that ran up to him and stood in front of his legs. The trainer stopped dead in his tracts as his Gible also looked at the odd Pokemon. Aeron looked at it confused and spoke, "Hey there whatcha doing out here? Do you have a trainer or no?" Aeron looked around confused, what was this Eevee doing out here? -------------
The Taillow nodded at the Gible's reply, thinking that she would like to visit the Safari Zone one day. But, her thoughts were interrupted by the sudden appearance of the Eevee that ran right into the back of Aeron's legs. The keen bird-sight of the Taillow allowed her to see the trainer before Aeron or the Gible could.
There seemed to be something strange about the human, but the Taillow dismissed it. After all, the trainer whose shoulder she now sat on had talked to a stick! The flying-type just watched the approach of the girl, silently watching this strange turn of events. -------------
Cath came to stop near the group, a small frown on her face. "Takala, why'd you run off like that? I told you to stay near me." She scolded the Eevee, seeming to not notice Aeron.
Takala had the decency to look ashamed. She bowed her head, shooting an apologetic look at Aeron. <I'm sorry, Cath... and.. uh, sir.> She said, looking to Aeron.
It was then that Cath turned to Aeron, as if she had just realized he was there. "I'm sorry, Takala hasn't been out of a city in a while, she's been really excited, and she gets real curious in areas like this." Cath blushed, cutting herself off before she rambled on too much. "I'm Cath, by the way. And this is Takala." She blushed again. "Of course, you probably already knew that... Ehem..." Her eyes fell to her feet, face red in embarrassment.
By here feet, Takala held back a snicker. Cath was truly amusing sometimes. ---------
Aeron looked back at the Eevee that had run into his leg and made him stop oddly. Finally its trainer showed up and Aeron smiled up at the girl. His navy eyes caught the look of embarrassment on the girl and her Pokemon, he wondered why the Taillow hadn't said anything if it had already saw the trainer. The Gible eyed the Eevee not really appreciating how the Pokemon carelessly ran into his trainer like that.
Aeron smiled politely at the Eevee and nodded, "No problem Takala, its not that big a deal," Aeron's gaze then switched to the girl's face, "Don't worry about it, I understand she's a curious lil Pokemon, my would be too." The Gible grunted and looked at the Eevee, <You should watch where you're going, its rude to run into people like that. Why did you let her off the hook so easy huh?> The Gible looked at Aeron unsatisfied and whiny as usual. Aeron smiled and shook his head, "No big deal Jaws relax dude. Oh yeah I'm aeron and this is Jaws my Gible," Aeron pointed to the Gible next to him, "Then this is my newly found friend Taillow here, so whatcha doing out here?" ---------
The Taillow continued to watch the exchange, her curiosity overwhelming. However, the more that she was around the trainer who called herself Cath, the more she felt uncomfortable. The little flying-type had no idea why, but the girl made shivers race up her spine. Still, the Taillow said nothing. She really couldn't tell Aeron if it was just a feeling. She had no proof that there was anything wrong with Cath, and was confused herself.

Cath smiled, nodding to Jaws, her eyes lingering on the Taillow for a few moments before she smiled. 'So, you're my target, eh? Well,' Her eyes fell back on Aeron. 'Can't be too hard to keep you away from him.'
"Oh, well," She paused for a moment, as if she was thinking something over. "I'm going to go and see some relatives that live down in Bolt City. I figured Takala could get some training done along the way as well." She smiled, her eyes glittering happily at the mention of her Eevee. "We haven't been out of the city much, so she hasn't gotten to do much of that." She suddenly frowned a bit, her eyes flashing away to look farther down the route. "I just hope nothing goes wrong..." She blushed again, realizing her statement would probably draw attention to herself.
Cath quickly replaced her frown with a smile, her head tilted slightly, a light blush still covering her face as she stared shyly back at Aeron.
Takala snorted lightly at the Gible's comment. She looked up, making sure Cath wasn't concentrating on her, then stuck her tongue out at Jaws, making faces. She wanted to do much worse, but she knew it would jeopardize Cath's mission. So she would settle with annoying the heck outta of him.

Aeron smiled a bit at Cath as she explained her business, Bolt City? That was where he was going, maybe he could travel with her there and have company. He nodded his head and looked down the Route as she did so, "Ah your heading in the same direction as me but I was planning on taking this little fellow," he nodded at the Taillow, "To say good bye to his parents. I think its coming with me but we'll see. It might change its mind." He looked down at Jaws, noting its angry demeanor.
The Gible didn't appreciate the rude little Eevee and shook its head as it suck its tongue out, <Aeron I don't really like this Eevee, either return me to my Pokeball or this little runt is gonna get it! Hmph!> Aeron just sighed and returned his Gible to its Pokeball, "I'm sorry about him, he complains a lot but its part of his nature. So since we're heading in the same direction, why don't you come with us?" He wanted to keep moving and the Taillow needed to show him the way, maybe Cath could come along and they could talk.
Wanting to have a Pokemon out he released his Charmander, Yamchi, "This is my Charmander Yamchi. Yamchi this is Cath and her Eevee, Takala." Yamchi looked at the two, smiled, and greeted them. His trainer began to take a step, 'So you coming with us or what?"

The Taillow noted how Cath's gaze lingered on her, unable to repress the shudder that ran through her. Something about the Trainer unnerved the Taillow, that much was certain. But, the bird Pokemon dod not know what. Cath had not done anything wrong, not to the Taillow's knowledge at least. Why then was she so nervous around her?
The gilled Flying-type flutterd a little closer to Aeron, feeling safe around him. Even after Cath looked away, the Taillow kept staring at the trainer. Sho looked normal, as far as humans were concerned, but the Taillow got a completely different feeling from her than from Aeron. Was it because she had gotten to know Aeron a little bit better? 'No,' she told herself, 'I felt comfortable around Aeron even before I really met him. She gives me a feeling more like that of the Zigzagoon...'
The Taillow forced herself to look away, and instead focused her attention on Aeron. He didn't look at all worried. That fact calmed the Taillow considerably and she decided that if Aeron could trust Cath, then she could give it a shot as well. Afterall, what did she know, having only recently left the nest?

Holding back a smirk, Cath's eyes once again fell upon the Taillow. 'I'm afraid the little birdie will be changing it's mind, Aeron.' She smiled at the bird, slight puzzlement forcing it's way into her features as she studied the strange Taillow. There was obviously a good reason the Chief Commander wanted it. She shook her head, returning her gaze to Aeron.
Cath smiled and nodded. "Sure, I could use the company. Takala doesn't talk to much." Inwardly she was frowning, angered by Jaws' comment. 'Takala could defeat your worthless hide any day.' She grumbled to herself. She then forced herself to calm, not wanting Aeron to notice anything. She looked to Yamchi, smiling back at the Charmander. "Pleased to meet you." She greeted before making her way to Aeron's side, her arm lightly brushing his as she fell into step beside him.
Takala also nodded in greeting before she walked forward, making sure to stay ahead of everyone else as she studied her surroundings, listening intently to the group behind her.

Aeron grew curious of the way Cath looked at the Taillow, it made him worry just slightly. But as they began to walk he felt her rub his arm with her own and such. The boy spoke to the Taillow, "How far off are we? Don't forget to give directions, eventually we'll have to rest for a bit and maybe catch some sleep." Aeron blue eyes' looked at the girl, she had an air to her that intrigued him greatly. His hand ran through his hair to straighten it, "So Cath tell me about yourself, where you from? What are you up to? How about your family?"
Yamchi was walking along side him as the Eevee seemed to stay up ahead of everyone else. He looked at the Taillow and smiled just wanting to relax it. He eyed the girl and wondered about her. He grew curious much like Aeron and thus clung to him, not wanting to get too far from his trainer.

The Taillow looked around a bit, just thn remembering that she was supposed to be guiding Aeron to her parents. At first she appeared a little confused, but soon she looked a bit more comfortable with the surroundings.
<Oh, we're almost there! It's just a little farther, go left here and keep on going for a bit, then you should see a large bush that sorta sticks out,> the Taillow replied anxiously. She forgot about Cath for that moment, as she was indeed excited to see her parents, and the way they would react when they found out that she was going with Aeron.
She just hoped that her family wouldn't freak out at the sight of a trainer. She didn't want them to hurt Aeron, and she didn't want him to hurt them. She was a little torn as to whose side she would be on if a fight did occur. The Pokemon inwardly shrugged, deciding to side with whoever didn't do anything wrong. In other words, if her parents attacked Aeron just at the sight of him, then she would of course side with the boy.

Cath nearly panicked, trying desperately to remember the story she had prepared earlier. But she could not dredge up a single thought. ‘Well, guess I’ll tell the truth. It is, after all, the safest lie.’ But she really didn’t want to tell anyone about her past. But, it was for the mission… She looked down at her feet, biting her lower lip in distress. “Er, well,” She hugged herself, her eyes still trained on her feet.
Takala looked toward Cath and away from the plant she’d been sniffing. She noted her trainer’s sadness and quickly made her way back to Cath, butting her head gently against her leg, playing along with her trainer. <You can tell him, Cath. We can trust him.> Takala gave Aeron a scrutinizing look before she nodded again in encouragement.
Cath sighed, her eyes flashing to look at Aeron for a moment before falling shut in thought for a moment. "Well, I kinda... Sorta... Ran away from home..." She mumbled quickly, her eyes opening again to stare intently at her feet. She quickened her pace slightly, preparing herself for questions.

Yamchi watched as the girl looked down at her shoes, seeming to be thinking or just upset. The shiny Charmander also noted how her little Eevee nudged her leg to draw her back to reality. The Pokemon looked back at its own trainer the boy was listening to the Taillow as it gave him directions.
Aeron nodded to the directions the gilled Bird Pokemon gave him. Keeping an eye out, they proceeded to walk and he heard Cath explain her situation to her, so she ran away from home? Instantly a barrage of question popped into his mind but he would release them little by little or if he felt it would make her feel awkward he'd just avoid them period, "So why did you run away from home? What bad enviroment or something?" His blue eyes looked at the girl intently wondering what it was that was bugging her so much. Then again running away from home was a touchy subject if one thought about it. Looking at he path ahead he found the bush that the Taillow had told him to look for. He stopped at it and looked at Yamchi and Cath, "We're here," his gaze turned to the Taillow, "I guess you can go get your parents and let them know."

The Taillow sighed, relieved. <Yes, that's a good idea. That way they'll expect you,> she replied happily. She glanced at Cath momentarily, still feeling a little uneasy, but feeling sorry for the girl. What could be so bad that someone would run away from home about it? At least for the Taillow, it would have to be something horrendus indeed.
<Well, things are okay now right? I mean, you have a good friend to travel with you, and you get to see all over the world,> the Taillow said kindly, nodding to Takala when she mentioned good friend, trying to cheer Cath up. The Pokemon realized that it was the first thing she had actually said to Cath the whole time.
The Marine Taillow opened her wings and flew from Aeron's shoulder, flying past the bush and into a small area beyond it. In the area was a rather large tree, standing beside a small pond. She flew up into the branches and landed by her parents' nest. <Mom? Dad?> she called. Though the Taillow did not realize it, the bush was close enough that Aeron and Cath could hear every word.
Two normal Taillows flew onto the branch next to her, smiling warmly. <Yes sweetheart?> her mother asked. Her father cocked his head questioningly, but did not say anything.
<Okay, don't freak out, but I found this human trainer. He's really nice, and didn't try to hurt me or anything. And, he asked me if I wanted to travel around the world with him! I want to, but I told his that I had to ask you guys first, so I brought him here. He's-> the Marine Taillow began, only to be cut off by her father.
<What!? You brought him here!?!? Do you realize what you have just done? You have put all of us in danger! What were you thinking!? Do you not realize that this could have been a trap, that he just tricked you into bringing him here?> her father yelled. He looked around, and assumed a protective stance, prepared to protect his family if at all necessary.
<No! Dad, Aeron's not like that! I-I can just sense it. He would never try to hurt me, or any of us. I trust him daddy,> the Marine Taillow protested.
Her father looked as if he was going to say something else, but her mother held out a calming wing. <Honey, I think the least we could do is meet the boy. I mean, not all humans are bad, even if they are trainers. And, remember, our daughter is a very good judge of character,> her mother said soothingly. However, she too looked around suspicously, not willing to be too trusting.
<Okay, he's behind that big bush. He brought his friend, a Charmander named Yamchi with him. There's also a girl named Cath who came along, and her Eevee Takala,> the Marine Pokemon explained. Then, before her father could say anything else, she called out, <Aeron! Come on!>.

Cath bit her lip, looking up briefly at Aeron. "I'm... I'm looking for someone, actually. My sister, Cass..." The mere mention of name greatly crushed Cath's mood. She missed her sister desperately. "She went here for her Pokemon journey, but... We got in a really bad fight before that." She said nothing else, shaking her head as she tried to focus herself. She was on a mission. She hardened herself, though she was smiling as she walked, appearing as if nothing was wrong.
Cath gave the Taillow a genuine look of surprise, wondering why the Flying type had chosen then to say something to her. But she shrugged it off, and smiled, looking down at Takala. "Yeah."
When they finally came to the Taillow's nest, Cath hid a frown, her eyes following the Taillow as it went to speak to it's parents. She shot a look at Aeron, mentally battling with herself. 'When do I reveal myself? I won't stand a chance with Aeron AND the Taillow's parents here, but if he decides to catch it right after, I might not have time before it's caught and I'll have a harder time getting the Pokeball from him...' She was done for if he already had his six Pokemon team. And there was a good chance he did. 'So that's it then. If he tries to catch the Taillow, parents or no parents, I have to catch it first.'
By her feet Takala was silent, not wanting to disrupt Cath's planning. But she shot the Taillow a few glances, fidgeting slightly. She was in the mood for a fight.

Aeron's eyes followed the Taillow as it entered the area where its nest was. The bush, the small pond, the tree. It was all very nice, and the pond caught his eyes. That was where the Taillow probably learned of its aquatic abilities. He snapped back to the sound of the Taillow and its parents arguing. He overheard the dad say he could be a bad person but was thankful when his mother calmed the father down. His eyes shifted around and he truned his head a bit to give Cath a look.
She had seemed a bit distracted, especially after telling them her story but he understood why. He felt bad for her and figured some companions would be good for her. That was why he invited her along. She had a good friend with her anyways though. That Eevee sure seemed loyal to her and that was good. He then turned his gaze to his buddy Yamchi. The shiny Charmander had already proven his loyalty when he saved him from that wild Zigzagoon. That had been a close one and Yamchi had pulled through in flying colors.
When he heard the Taillow call him in he walked into the area, looking back at Cath and nodding for her to follow but at a safe distance so as to not frighten the Pokemon. He looked up at the three Taillow, smiled big, and waved. Yamchi did the same, "Hello, I'm Aeron. Uhh see I was wondering if your Taillow here could accompany me on my Pokemon adventure. I'd keep good care of it, Yamchi here will tell ya what kind of Breeder I am. You have a unique child, he's remarkable." He sure hoped they let the Tailow tag along and if they said yes, he'd be sure to capture the Taillow.

By now the Taillow had pushed away all of her feelings of apprehension with Cath, and could not begin to guess at the girl's true intentions. She smiled happily when Aeron spoke, hoping the same thing as the trainer.
The Taillow's parents studied Aeron for a moment, then they too smiled, even the mis-trusting father. <Well, it seems that my daughter really does wish to travel with you... Besides, there is something about you that just feels... good. If she was to go with anyone, I would like it to be you,> the father said hesitantly.
The mother smiled and nodded her approval, but then turned a worried gaze on Cath. The father did likewise, and he shifted uncomfortably. <Just promise to take care of and protect my baby, alright trainer? No matter what?> the father asked, giving his daughter a loving glance.
The taillow blushed at her father's words, and seemed rather pleased. <Oh, daddy...> she said, tears entering her eyes. She flitted closer to her parents and spread her wings to envelop them both in a warm, feathery, bird-like hug. Then she stepped back away and looked at Aeron to see what he would say, the tears gone from her eyes.

Cath watched the three flying types intently, giggling as she smiled. Inwardly, she was gagging, but she quickly got over it and now looked to Aeron. Her hand was placed cionvieniently near her pocket, where a spare Pokeball, as well as karmen;s pokeball, were. If Aeron chose that moment to throw a Pokeball, she would have to intercept it and throw her own before he could.
Hopefully, Aeron would choose to battle with the Taillow first. It would give her a better chance of taking it, and getting away. But she had to prepare for all options. Cath discreetly nudged Takala with her foot then lightly scoffed the dirt in Aeron's direction.
Takala didn't move, but she understood. If Aeron threw a Pokeball, she would grab it.
