No one knows who closed off the area, but travellers must now travel to the Town via the Underground Tunnel. Popular belief is that Professor Tarei herself caused its creation. Unless trainers recieve a Flash HM, they will not be able to see through the pitch black darkness. It is not advised for one to attempt to travel through the tunnel without flash, though it is possible. With only a few clusters of trees and a large lake near the center, this route is more of a pasture. The local farmers of Bernar bring their Pokemon to graze, but there is occasionally a wild one about. This is a great place to train before heading off to the Bern Gym. ![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Bernar Town (1 sub-board) A town of farmers, Bernar Town is surprisingly advanced. Its Pokemon Center has an automated healing machine, as the nurse is usually busy tending to the farm Pokemon, and the Mart is run by a robot Ranger. Many travellers visit here for the farm's goods, and Pokemon trainers come here for the Gym. The Gym leaader is also a farmer, but he has a large diversity in Pokemon. If a trainer defeats him, they will not only get a badge, but also some of the unique products of his farm. Moderator: CCKip | 5 | 98 | on Nov 10, 2008, 10:45am by Anima in Bernar PokeMart |

A path leads up the mountain, taking travellers to Geo village on the summit, then back down to Runox on the other side. Both the ascent and the descent take a long time, about half a day's walk at least for each. Mount Homorgina is the smallest of three mounains in the Laokia Region. There are also rumors that the summit is home to a mystical stone, though none have seen it.

![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Runox (1 sub-board) Runox is a town located right at the eastern foot of Mount Homorgina. A gym is located in the town, home to a flying-type gym leader. She is also the first female gym leader a trainer would encounter on their journey. The soil here is extremely fertile, so the town has a thriving herbal medicine market. Trainers are advised to stock up on water before continuing east into the desert. ![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Kamee Desert The Kamee Desert is located to the east of Runox and is the longer of the two deserts that travellers will need to cross on their journey from Runox to Gallaville. Temperatures in this desert can reach a scorching 120˘ŞF, and the limited shade makes this a very dangerous endeavor. Travellers should dress lightly, but should always keep their head covered, as well as any bare skin unless they are wearing sunblock. Thankfully, there is an Oasis seperating the two deserts and offering a place for recuperation. Moderator: Delpha | 1 | 3 | on Jan 20, 2010, 10:38pm by »Dra« in Kamee Desert |
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Shia Oasis The Shia Oasis lies between the Kamee and the Tawnee deserts. It is not a halfway point from Runox to Gallaville, as the Kamee desert is longer than the Tawnee, making it closer to being three-fourths of the distance. It offers a refuge from the scorching sun of the deserts, and is a good place to rest and recuperate after travelling through the dehydrating desert. The water is clean and fresh, perfect to rehydrate after the dry trip to get there. It is not an extremely large area, but it is home to many Pokemon. Also, sometimes rare and even legendary Pokemon visit this area, as it is quite beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing, and for the most part un-tainted by humans. Moderator: CCKip | 1 | 3 | on Jan 21, 2010, 12:05pm by »Dra« in Shia Oasis |
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Tawnee Desert The Tawnee Desert continues in the eastwarly path from Runox to Gallaville, the last stretch for travellers visiting the large large, if rather quaint, city. Temperatures in this desert begin to cool off from the Kamee desert, reaching a maximum of around 100˘ŞF by the time travellers reach the end of it. Of course, temperatures can reach to below freezing at night, just as in the Kamee desert. Travellers should make sure to get enough rest and water at the Oasis before continuing through this desert, as they will find next to none before reaching Gallaville. This desert is smaller than the first, but still a dangerous challenge to cross. Moderator: timedknight | 1 | 3 | on Jan 21, 2010, 3:45pm by »Dra« in Tawnee Desert |
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Gallaville (1 sub-board) Gallaville is a large city, but a very quaint one. It is more rustic and down-to-earth than most large and profitable cities, and its people are very environmentally concious. There is another gym here, and as one would expect the leader specializes in Grass and Water-type Pokemon. Gallaville is the final city on the north-eastern part of the mainland. Trainers could cross the ocean after visiting this city and make their way through the Laokian Islands. If they wanted to, they could travel all the way around to the western side of the region, the sea route being much quicker than the one over land, but they would likely find the opponents too powerful. This is the easiest way to read Target Island, unless a traveller is willing to go back to Nirven Town and reach it from the port there. There are four islands that are easily accesable from this eastern city, and the best course to reach the rest, and the wisest if one is challenging the gyms or contest halls, is to back-track after exploring all four islands and head to the west. ![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Route Seven Route Seven is filled with rolling hills, dotted with more than a few trees of various varieties. A rather large tree lies in the route's center, providing a home to many Pokemon. In fact, this tree, rumored to be from ancient times, is large enough that fully grown humans and even some of the larger Pokemon can go inside and explore its tunnels. Moderator: Mysterio | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Route Eight A distinct difference from route seven, Route Eight begins after a steep drop-off from the highlands with the hills. A navigable path leads down the steep slopes and into the valley land of the route. A river is said to have once flowed here, but has long since dried up, if it ever exsisted. Another path leads up the side of the mountains, but travellers who choose to explore may find various ruins littered in the valley. Moderator: Harukien | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Mount Linar (1 sub-board) Mt. Linar is Laokia's second, smaller mountain range. It is dominated by the large volcano, Kuranta. A distinct difference from the snow-capped Homorgina mountain range, the Linar mountains are dry, with a great deal more rocks than vegetation. Dried mgma can be found in great quantities near the volcano, even flowing lava on occasion. Travellers should be extra careful when crossing this terrain, especially if they decide to travel up to the summit of Kuranta. Moderator: Delpha | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Muertos Village Muertos Village is a decrepit settlement, the very definition of a 'ghost town'. Being so near the mountains and volcano, it is surprising that it still stands, the ruins echoing a once bustling village. However, to say that this place is completely uninhabited would be a lie. Researchers and scientists gather here to study the volcano and the native Pokemon, and those more daring explorers often settle here in the search of adventure. A gym is said to exist here as well, hidden in one of the buildings that are falling apart. Moderator: CCKip | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Cráneo Caverns Populating the cliffs under Muertos Village, the Cráneo caverns are so named because of the many skulls littering the ground and emedded within their walls. Little is known about the ancient place, and few have dared to venture far into their depths. There are rumors of lost souls wandering the caverns, and even of a curse that is said to befall any who dare enter. Still, navigating through the caverns is the only known way to reach Route Nine, other than flying down the side of the cliff. Moderator: timedknight | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Route Nine Route Nine is a craggy place, the ground split open in many places. Some of these crevices are also filled with lava, adding to the already prominent danger. One should tread careully when traversing this route, always watching their step. On occassion, the plates deep under the earth crash together or pull apart, making this area even more unstable. Many times this leads to the ground opening up and leaving yet another crevice, but earthquakes are also likely, albeit rarely. Moderator: terrakki | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Oka River Much like Agerie City, this river is split between pure, clean water and polluted water. The river is amazingly clean and pure upstream, before it runs through the pollution given off by Kuranta. The toxicity of the downstream river is so high that few Pokemon can live there; Poison-types and the incredibly hardy and adaptable Water-types call this place home. More than a few people have found their deaths in the poisoned water. Upstream, however, he water is actually abnormally healthy, home to many Pokemon. Moderator: Mysterio | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Route Ten Covered in ash from the somewhat distant volcano, Route Ten can also be dangerous, but to a lesser extent than Route Nine. Travellers are strongly cautioned to be careful not to breathe in any of the sulfuric ashes, though this can prove difficult with the stuff so thick in the air. Despite the seemingly undesireable conditions, many Pokemon call this area home. They find ample opportunity to hide within the thick ash and the blackened vegetation. The ash can be collected, and blacksmiths within Agerie City can craft them into various items. Moderator: Harukien | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Agerie City (1 sub-board) Agerie City is split ino two distinctly different halves, each half having its own gym. The conditions presented by the volcano are the most distinct cause of this split, with one half being filled with pollution, while the other half has been puirified and cleaned by the fresh ocean air. The polluted portion of the city is filled with poverty and crime, while the clean half is rich and stern when it comes to abiding by the rules. The city nearly always seems to be on the brink of war, and more often than not the question isn't IF a war will start, but WHEN. Moderator: Delpha | 0 | 0

![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Tropica Island Tropica Island is named so because it is a Tropical Island, covered in palm trees. Though this island does not have a gym, it is a good place to stop on your journey. The mart has many cheaply priced goods and you can find all sorts of berries on bushes. Also there are various species of rarer Pokemon here, and as an added bonus, the chance of finding a shiny is much higher here. You can skip this island all together, but few would want to. However, despite its immense beauty, no people inhabit the islnd, other than a single Nurse Joy who lives on the western beach, away from all the trees and soil. This is easily explained by the island's dark secret, the reason behind the extremely fertile soil. Moderator: timedknight | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Windbreak Cove This island is named because of the cove that is sheltered against the harsh winds that surround it leading to Tsunami island. The cove is also sheltered from the Tsunamis, ridiculously high cliffs protecting the inland from the torrential wind and waves. A small pokemon center/mart is on the island, along with a group of oceanic fanatics. Moderator: terrakki | 0 | 0
![[ ]](http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s46/pokemonregions/Transparent%20Sprites/EspDUmbA.png) | Tsunami Island So named for the frequent Tsunamis hitting it, this land is so ravaged and destroyed that only a few Pokemon live here and only in a few scattered areas are there plant life. It does contain a small Pokemon Center, but that is it. It is rumoured that the missing eighth Gym Leader can be found here, but this is uncertain. All trainers who have managed to get all eight badges never revealed the last Gym Leader's location. Moderator: Mysterio | 0 | 0

Clouds hang over the island, keeping the sun from shining through, and a slight fog covers the ground. However, during the night the clouds and fog lift, the moon and starlight brightening the island more than any other time. There is no gym, and not even a known pokemart or pokecenter upon this island, mostly because visibility is so low to see when visitors to arrive on the island, and also because most avoid this area. A wide river before them flowing down the next path, water flooding the route from wall to wall. The water runs too quickly for a human or a non-water type pokemon to swim in, and travelers will need a strong water type to carry them across. Even with a water type to carry them over the river though, the whole river filters through a series of caves that branch off in several directions and finding the right path can be tricky.
